JASON FERRIS
Jason Ferris is the sole director of Woodchester Finance and has vast experience in the area of property finance (construction and development funding), investment finance (term debt funding) and corporate finance opportunities. Jason is a licensed finance broker and has established relationships with many experienced property funders in Australia. Jason specialises in property related finance including high rise development, commercial and industrial development and funding, land subdivisions and investment property finance (commercial and residential).
Career
Jason’s career began in the property industry working for both local agents and spending time working in the London property market. In 1995 Jason returned to Perth to take up a role as State Manager for Mortgage Choice and establish their Perth franchise model. Upon sale of this business, Jason was offered an executive position with a London based corporate finance group in their Johannesburg office.
Jason travelled between Johannesburg and London with this group before deciding to settle in Perth in 2004. Jason worked as an Associate Director with Ashe Morgan Winthrop for almost 4 years prior to taking the decision to establish Woodchester Finance in 2009.
Education/Qualifications
Licensed finance broker, Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management), Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance / Mortgage Broking), Certificate III in Mortgage Lending, Advanced Certificate of Business (Real Estate).
Experience
- Has been involved in close to $3b in property finance transactions since late 2005 in the commercial property finance sector including senior development debt, investment term debt and mezzanine finance.
- Facilitated many joint venture opportunities in both property and mining sectors.
- Involved in overseas corporate finance opportunities including IPO’s, Mergers and Acquisitions, equity/capital raisings in both London and Johannesburg.
- Involved in setting up the local operations of Mortgage Choice.

RHODE TRUTER
Rhode Truter is the Commercial Finance Manager, having joined the business in July 2009. He has extensive experience in both commercial business and property finance after more than 20 years in the industry.
Career
Rhode has worked at various investment and commercial banks in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. He has been in both credit and sales roles within these organisations; as well as successfully establishing business divisions with assets in excess of $300m. Rhode was also a director of a listed property fund prior to leaving South Africa.
Having moved to Australia in 2005 he joined Ashe Morgan Winthrop as a Senior Analyst, where his contacts and knowledge of the WA market were developed. After a brief period at a major bank in Perth he left to join Jason at Woodchester Finance.

Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma in Commercial Property Finance and Advanced Business Lending certificates
